THE PELTON WYLIE + FAHRNEY TEAM  

HISTORY

On January 1, 2020 Nick Fahrney joined Greg Pelton and Jamey Wylie to create Pelton Wylie + Fahrney Engineering, Inc.  Greg Pelton and Jamey Wylie formed Pelton Wylie Engineering, Inc. in 2013 by merging the offices of Pelton Engineering and J. D. Wylie Engineering.  Prior to joining Greg and Jamey, Nick worked as a structural engineer in the Modesto area for 12 years.  Greg Pelton, Jamey Wylie, and Nick Fahrney are all Structural Engineers licensed in the state of California and they have a combined 45+ years of providing quality structural engineering services in the Central Valley and throughout California.

THE PW+F ENGINEERS

The firm principals Greg Pelton, Jamey Wylie and Nick Fahrney are the signing licensed engineers for PW+F.  In addition, there is a licensed engineer and an engineer-in-training that are an integral part of the engineering team.

THE PW+F DRAFTERS

PW+F has 3 full time experienced drafters that provide the technical drafting services to support and illustrate the engineering analysis and designs.

PW+F ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF

PW+F has 2 part time experienced administrative staff that provide support services to keep PW+F operating smoothly and efficiently.

THE PW+F PRINCIPALS

Jamey Wylie

Jamey is a California Structural Engineer with over 20 years of structural design experience in a wide variety of projects.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from California State University, Fresno with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.  Jamey brings valuable experience from working in the field and with a family heritage of construction in the Modesto area.  He successfully led J. D. Wylie Engineering until merging with Pelton Engineering in 2013, and he continues to take lead roles in Pelton Wylie + Fahrney Engineering, Inc.

Nicholas Fahrney

Nick is a California Structural Engineer with over 15 years of structural design experience including residential, multi-family, commercial, retail, industrial, education and health care construction.  He graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of California, Davis with an emphasis in Structural Engineering.  Nick worked in the Sacramento and Merced areas before moving to Modesto in 2008.  In 2018 he joined Pelton Wylie Engineering and in 2020 he became a principal in what is now Pelton Wylie + Fahrney Engineering, Inc.  Nick is also licensed as a Civil Engineer in the state of Oregon and a Structural Engineer in the state of Nevada.

IN MEMORY

Gregory Pelton

Greg passed away suddenly on September 18th, 2023, and will be dearly missed.
Greg was born in Muscatine, Iowa on June 21, 1953, to Walter W and Darlene Pelton. He was the oldest of three with two younger sisters, Debra Pelton (deceased) and Janet Pelton Valles. He graduated high school from Hoover High in Fresno, where he met Janet Haggblade, which started a relationship that lasted the rest of his life. Greg and Janet married in 1974. Greg and Janet both attended Cal Poly San Luis Obispo where he majored in Architecture Engineering. They moved to Modesto in 1977. In 1983, he opened Pelton Engineering. Greg retired in 2021 but never stopped working. He was an avid reader with US History and mystery novels among his favorites. He also loved traveling with his wife, daughters Katy and Heather, family and friends and was a proud and successful “girl dad”. In May of 2022, he upgraded his title from Dad to Papa with the birth of his first granddaughter. He worked hard and enjoyed life and the people around him.
